Mr. Sheraz Zaka is a lawyer currently serving as the Assistant Attorney General of Pakistan. He was honored with the prestigious British Council UK Alumni Professional Achievement Award in Pakistan in 2020. He earned his LLM degree from Cardiff University, and since 2014, Mr. Zaka has been actively involved in public interest litigation and constitutional cases, providing pro bono legal aid to marginalized groups in society. He has worked on various causes, ranging from addressing environmental pollution caused by industrial units in residential areas to advocating for the rights of domestic workers, disabled individuals, the Christian and transgender communities, and the protection of Pakistan’s natural resources. In addition to his legal career, he is a dedicated educator, serving as a lecturer at the University of Punjab and Kinnaird College for Women. At the Lahore School of Law, he teaches the course of English Jurisprudence.
