ASAD JAMAL

Mr. Asad Jamal is a civil rights attorney, teacher, researcher, and author. He is actively engaged in promoting human rights and democratic discourse in Pakistan. Mr. Jamal holds LLM from the University of Sussex, and a diploma certificate in International Human Rights Law from the University of Strasbourg.

His interests include criminal law, constitutional law, human rights, and democratic governance. He teaches criminal law, jurisprudence, constitutional law, legal writing, and legislative drafting. He is the author of Police Organisations in Pakistan, Revisiting Police Laws, Extra-judicial Executions in Pakistan: Killing with Impunity, among others. He frequently writes an opinion on various legal and constitutional issues.
